Vigil Raber – 1st. floor
Vigil Raber was born around 1480 in Vipiteno, the son of a baker, he was a pioneer in the history of German theater. He was one of the first directors, set and costume designers, publisher and distributor of theatrical texts. Theatrical Art around XVI century was mainly a spiritual game as expression of Passion of Christ and the representation of Christmas games, only later on thanks to the work of Vigil Raber it converted on a popular art. Looking out the window, you will see the Vigil Raber Room, the building of the theater (ball room), whose name is closely linked to the artist.
