St. Nepomuk protected the Fugger city from floods and other destructive forces elements. In ancient times the wild Rio Valler of Montecavallo and Raminges repeatedly threatened the city. St. Nepomuk is the patron saint against such floods. His statue is situated in front of the city Hall.
