Erker – 1st floor, with access to the terrace
In the 15th and 16th centuries Vipiteno experienced its heyday, you can clearly see it in architecture. The houses are flanked by large arcades and characterize the urban landscape of Sterzing until today. The stained glass windows were built to show that the builder was wealthy. It is in this period that Bow Windows (Erker in German) developped because fro there you had a better view of what is happening in the city and was a light and paceful place where relaxing and reading.
